The best for last (for the day), the Grand Palace!
The ultimate display of Thailand's cultural and economic wealth. One pompous structure after another that a photo freak like me wouldn't know where to start. Unfortunately, it is also the most visited tourist spot in the city so a solo high fashion picture of yourself is close to impossible.
Although it was built in 1782, you could hardly see age on its walls. Everything is probably as crisp as new. You can tell how diligently they preserve the complex. But I must honestly say that it would have been easily dwarfed by the sheer size and majesty of the Angkor Complex had the latter been as well preserved.
But the spotlight is on the Grand Palace, so let's let it shine as its gold walls do!
